Herd Manager Opportunity – Okauia, Matamata Ideal for a couple (Relief Milking & Calf Rearing Option Available)
We’re offering a great opportunity for a motivated couple or individual to join our team as a Herd Manager on our 550-cow dairy farm in Okauia, near Matamata.
About the Farm:
- 550 cows milked through a 50-aside herringbone shed
- In-shed feeding system
- Spring calving system
- Once-a-day milking post-Christmas
- Rolling contour farm
The Role: We’re looking for someone with at least one full season of dairy experience who is ready to step up, take responsibility, and grow their career in the industry.
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Good animal husbandry and milking skills
- Willingness to learn and take on responsibility
- Tractor driving experience (especially on hills) is an advantage
