Curriculum Delivery & Pedagogy:
Design and deliver engaging, well-structured, and differentiated lessons in English Language and Literature across various Key Stages, ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
Specialize in preparing students for success in rigorous external examinations, specifically the Cambridge IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).
Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles, making literature relevant and language skills accessible to every student.
Assessment, Feedback, and Progress:
Implement a robust system for monitoring, assessing, and tracking individual student progress, using data to inform your teaching practice.
Provide students with timely, specific, and constructive feedback that not only highlights areas for improvement but also celebrates their achievements and builds their academic confidence.
Collaboration and Contribution:
Work collaboratively within the English department to share best practices, develop innovative teaching resources, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Actively participate in the wider life of the school by leading or supporting extracurricular activities—such as a debate club, creative writing group, or school production—and by providing pastoral care as a tutor or mentor.
Professional Engagement:

The Ideal Candidate: You Possess the Following
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
A recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), or Diploma in Education (DipEd).
A strong academic background, evidenced by a degree in English, English Literature, or a closely related field.
A minimum of four years of full-time classroom teaching experience, preferably within a high-performing international or independent school setting.
Proven excellence in classroom management and the ability to create a positive, respectful, and productive learning environment.
