Location: Houston (Hybrid – at least 4 days onsite/week)
Visa Sponsorship: We offer sponsorship under specific treaty-based U.S. work visas, including TN and E-2 (for eligible Canadian, Mexican, and French citizens). We do not support or transfer other visa types (e.g., H-1B).
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Software Developer to join our Trading IT team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and integration of systems and applications supporting gas and power trading activities. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions, ensuring system reliability, and supporting business users in a fast-paced and evolving trading environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software enhancements and fixes following best practices and deployment standards.
- Collaborate with architects, tech leads, and analysts to design solutions aligned with business needs.
- Define and improve development standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Provide technical support and assist with testing and issue resolution.
- Manage change request backlogs and ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure compliance with audit, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements (SOX, NERC, FERC).
- Maintain cross-functional collaboration and adhere to service delivery methodologies.
- Deliver reliable, secure, and high-quality software solutions that support business objectives.

- Qualifications
Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience in software development, system/application design, and delivery.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps, Agile methodologies, and IT standards.
- Experience with ETRM systems, bid-to-bill integrations, and power vendor technologies
- Skilled in a wide range of technologies: AWS/Azure, Oracle, MongoDB, AngularJS/HTML5, ASP.NET, C#, Web API, Python, WPF/MVVM, WCF/SOA, Git, TFS.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure with excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills.
- Problem-solving mindset focused on quality, continuous improvement, and cross-team collaboration.
- Educated in IT, computer science, or engineering, with knowledge of commodity trading and/or energy business.
- Fluent in English, with French competency considered advantageous.
