A Gateway to Opportunity and Adventure

Nestled at the foot of the majestic Mount Hood, the charming city of Sandy, Oregon, offers a unique blend of small-town community spirit and unparalleled access to natural beauty. We are actively seeking a dedicated Full-Time Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic urgent care team in this thriving location. This role is more than a job; it’s an invitation to build a meaningful career while living in one of the most scenic regions of the Pacific Northwest. Our clinic serves as a vital healthcare resource for a welcoming, tight-knit community, providing a balanced and rewarding professional environment just a short drive from the vibrant urban amenities of Portland.

If you are an Advanced Practice Provider who values whole-person care, collaborative teamwork, and a varied clinical case load, we invite you to explore this exceptional opportunity.

Your Role: Making a Tangible Difference in Patient Care

As a Nurse Practitioner in our urgent care setting, you will be the cornerstone of our patient-centered service, delivering high-quality, efficient care to individuals and families in your community. Your clinical expertise and compassionate approach will be essential in managing a diverse range of acute medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities and Clinical Focus:

  • Comprehensive Patient Management: You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients across the lifespan presenting with a wide spectrum of urgent, non-life-threatening conditions. This includes everything from minor injuries (lacerations, sprains, fractures) and common illnesses (upper respiratory infections, UTIs, skin conditions) to providing essential wellness services like immunizations and physicals.

  • Diagnostic Proficiency: You will order and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays (read in collaboration with a radiologist), laboratory results, and EKGs, to form accurate diagnoses and create effective treatment plans.

  • Procedural Expertise: The role involves performing minor procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage, splinting, and foreign body removal, ensuring patient comfort and excellent clinical outcomes.

  • Collaborative Practice: You will work alongside a supportive team of healthcare professionals, including fellow providers, nurses, and medical assistants, fostering a collaborative environment where patient care is the top priority. While operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will have clear pathways for consultation and referral for more complex cases.

  • Whole-Person Care Philosophy: We are committed to treating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. You will have the time and support to educate patients and their families, promote health and wellness, and connect them with resources for ongoing care, ensuring a seamless and compassionate healthcare experience.

Who We Are Looking For: The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner who is eager to grow with our team and become an integral part of the Sandy community.

Required Qualifications & Credentials:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

  • Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Oregon, or eligibility to obtain Oregon licensure.

  • National board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) is required. Those who are Board Eligible and scheduled for their certification exam will also be considered.

  • Must successfully meet the credentialing standards of our affiliated hospital’s medical staff.

  • A commitment to providing empathetic, patient-first care in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Attributes:

  • Previous experience in an urgent care, emergency department, or primary care setting is highly valued.

  • Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cohesive team.

  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, with a genuine passion for community health.
