Job Description Dog Groomer – Cleaner job in UK care home – only for members [click here]
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of grooming experience, a Level 3 City & Guilds qualification, and a genuine passion for dogs. You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional grooming services and creating a positive experience for every dog and their owner.
Weekend shifts are not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and warm, professional communication with dog owners.
- Consult with owners to determine specific grooming needs and preferences.
- Carry out full grooming including as bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling.
- Maintain a calm and safe environment for dogs at all times.
- Keep the salon clean, organised and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Support the team and assist with salon operations, stock checks and record keeping.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a professional dog groomer.
- Ability to groom a wide variety of breeds to a high standard.
- Possess excellent listening and communication skills.
- Able to work well in a team and independently.
- Able to complete at least 3 full grooms from start to finish per day.
- First aid for pets certification is preferred.
