Your Role: More Than Just Driving – A Key Role in Production
As a Forklift Operator within our facility, you will be a crucial link in the production chain, responsible for the seamless movement of raw and finished materials that drive our business. Your role is vital to our daily output and overall operational success.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Operational Excellence: Safely and efficiently operating a forklift truck (counterbalance, telehandler, or similar) within a fast-paced factory environment to move raw peat, blended compost, finished products, and packaging materials.
Material Handling & Logistics: Loading and unloading raw materials from delivery vehicles and meticulously transporting finished product pallets to the designated storage or dispatch areas.
Production Line Support: Working in close coordination with the production team to ensure a constant and uninterrupted supply of materials to the blending, bagging, and processing lines.
Inventory Management: Actively participating in stock rotation and inventory checks, ensuring the accuracy of stock levels through clear communication and systematic work practices.
Quality & Safety Assurance: Conducting routine machinery checks (pre-use inspections) and adhering to all health, safety, and environmental protocols without exception. You will be expected to maintain the highest standards of housekeeping in your work area.
Team Collaboration: Working as part of a close-knit team, demonstrating strong communication skills and a proactive attitude to overcome daily challenges and meet production targets.

Essential Requirements:
A Valid Forklift Licence: Certification for operating relevant machinery is non-negotiable.
