Role description
Diagnose and repair various automotive issues, including engine, transmission, and electrical systems.
Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations.
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in a range of taxi vehicles – engines, brakes, and electrical systems.
Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnoses, repairs, and maintenance needs in a friendly and clear manner.
Utilize diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately identify problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
Dismantle and replace or repair defective parts or equipment.
Change engine and transmission oils.
Conduct quality checks before returning vehicles.
Perform Roadworthy Testing.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to ensure high standards of service and customer satisfaction.
Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Clean equipment and work areas.
Are reliable, punctual, and hardworking, with a positive attitude.
Always follow safety guidelines and procedures.

Skills required for the role
Minimum of 1 year mechanical experience along with formal qualifications (at least Certificate III).

Qualifications
Certificate I – IV (required).
Automotive diagnostics: 1 year (required).
