Transport mechanic role in Canada – verified company
Transport mechanic Responsibilities:
– Perform automotive repairs and maintenance tasks on a variety of vehicles
– Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
– Conduct inspections and tests to identify vehicle problems and recommend appropriate solutions
– Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and HVAC systems
– Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
– Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles
– Follow safety protocols and guidelines when working with heavy equipment and power tools
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role
– Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and HVAC systems
– Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify vehicle issues
– Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair instructions
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
– Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
– Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues
Skills:
– Experience working in a dealership environment is preferred
– Familiarity with operating heavy equipment such as cranes or Caterpillar machinery is a plus
– Ability to dig and excavate when necessary for certain repairs or maintenance tasks
Must have an experience of 1 year
Will help in LMIA as well
