Job Description for Truck driver
We are running a Rubbish and Waste removal business where our trucks run over day shifts. We are also an accredited employer with Immigration of New Zealand. We are now looking for committed and hardworking Truck Driver – Class 2 and Class 4 to cover vacant positions.A successful candidate will be guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours of work per week at $25.00 per hour rostered over 6 days, including weekends and evenings (if required). The employee shall be responsible for the diligent and faithful performance of the following duties:· Driving Duties.
· Completing all required documentation.
· Ensuring the vehicle is kept in a clean and tidy condition and carrying out minor maintenance tasks if required.
· Attending to the usual reporting procedures associated with driving.
· Attending to the daily checking of vehicles (oil, water, fuel, air pressure, safety conditions, and equipment security, road user charge license, hub odometer readings, etc) and keeping the employer informed of the need for road user charges and maintenance required.Such other duties as the employer may reasonably require. To be suitable for this role you must:· Hold a Clean full Class 2 and 4 license
· 1-2 years of Experience is mandatory
· Maintain a proactive approach to your Health and Safety and those around you
· Maintain a professional road manner. Must able to work physically because commercial bins can be heavy to manual handling
