DevOps Engineer

Robotics Technologies LLC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Plano, TX. This role is central to enhancing our software development lifecycle, infrastructure automation, and cloud operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of development and operational expertise, with a passion for building scalable, reliable, and efficient systems. You will work collaboratively with software development, QA, and IT operations teams to streamline our processes, accelerate delivery, and maintain the highest standards of system performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform to ensure reproducible, version-controlled, and scalable environments.

  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Develop, maintain, and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD to enable rapid and reliable software releases.

  • Cloud Management: Architect, deploy, and manage applications and services on AWS, leveraging services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.

  • Containerization & Orchestration: Build and maintain Docker containers and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes for efficient deployment, scaling, and operations.

  • Automation & Scripting: Create and maintain scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate operational tasks, monitoring, and system management.

  • Monitoring & Logging: Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack) to ensure system health, performance, and proactive issue resolution.

  • Collaboration & Support: Work closely with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices into the software development lifecycle, providing support for troubleshooting complex production issues.

  • Security & Compliance: Integrate security practices into the DevOps pipeline, ensuring infrastructure and applications adhere to company policies and industry standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar software development/infrastructure role.

  • Strong proficiency in Java programming and related frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate).

  • Hands-on experience with a broad range of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks.

  • Demonstrated experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.

  • Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform.

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch or the ELK Stack.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex production issues effectively.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams.

  • A solid understanding of Agile development methodologies and core DevOps principles.
