Role: Audit senior associate
Key responsibilities:
Audit Execution & Compliance
-
Analyze clients’ financial statements to ensure compliance with regulations (IFRS, local standards).

Examine financial records, inventory, and fixed assets (e.g., plant/equipment).
-
Test internal controls and audit processes, identifying risks and material misstatements.
-
Design engagement procedures based on risk assessment and materiality.
Client & Team Management
-
Build trust by delivering high-quality audits and understanding client expectations.
-
Communicate progress, risks, and budget variances to Managers/Partners promptly.
-
Lead engagement teams, reviewing Associates’ work and providing coaching/feedback.
-
Manage diverse teams across audit phases (planning to completion), ensuring KPIs are met.
Business Development & Innovation
-
Support proposals for new/existing clients and strengthen client relationships.

Participate in digital initiatives (e.g., data analytics tools, AI platforms).
-
Research industry trends and client specifics pre-engagement.
Quality & Compliance
-
Ensure adherence to risk, quality, and independence policies (PwC standards).

Complete audit files and documentation for external review.
Requirements:
Essential:
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
-
Certifications: Pursuing/completed ACCA, CA, ACA, CPA (preferred).

Experience:
-
3+ years as a Senior Associate in external audit (Big 4 or similar).
-
Technical expertise in auditing methodologies and accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
-
Project management skills with ability to meet deadlines.

Skills:
-
Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
-
Excellent communication (written/oral) and teamwork.
-
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx) is a plus.

Preferred (Assets):

Language: Bilingual (Arabic + English).

Industry Experience: Prior work with clients in key Middle East sectors (e.g., banking, energy).

Leadership: Experience coaching junior staff and leading teams.
