We are seeking a dedicated, hands-on farm worker with full visa and relocation help , and passionate agricultural professional to join our year-round team as a Farm Foreman. This pivotal leadership role is for a dynamic individual who thrives in an outdoor environment and is equally comfortable operating machinery in the field and mentoring a team. The ideal candidate is a natural leader with a strong mechanical background, ready to ensure the smooth and efficient daily operation of our farm, producing high-quality fresh produce.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management:

Train, mentor, motivate, and directly supervise the field crew to achieve daily quality and efficiency targets.

Lead by example, spending the majority of the workday hands-on in the field alongside the team.

Schedule staff work plans and submit accurate payroll information in a timely manner.

Address and report any potential personnel issues to the Farm Manager.
Operational Execution & Crop Management:
-
Implement daily and seasonal work priorities as directed by the Farm Manager to maintain high-quality production standards.

Monitor and report on overall plant health, including signs of disease, nutrient deficiencies, stress, weed pressure, and irrigation needs.

Install, repair, and maintain critical infrastructure, including trellis systems and irrigation.
Equipment & Machinery Expertise:
-
Operate a wide range of farm machinery, including tractors, sprayers, mowers, loaders, chainsaws, hedge trimmers, and pruning tools.

Perform diagnostics, conduct repairs, and ensure all equipment and machinery are properly maintained in consultation with the Farm Manager.

Maintain and track all tools and supplies related to field crew tasks.
Compliance & Administration:
-
Adhere to and champion all safety programs, policies, and safe operating procedures to protect the well-being of all team members and company property.

Maintain meticulous and accurate pest management and spray records, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations.

Calculate spray volumes, calibrate equipment, and ensure proper application rates for pesticides and nutrients.

Perform necessary administrative duties, including record-keeping and reporting.
General Duties:
-
Haul fruit to central collection points and assist with other transportation needs.

Perform all other duties as assigned to support the farm’s success.
Qualifications & Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications:
-
Minimum of 3 years of experience in agriculture, with at least some experience in a supervisory or crew-leading capacity.

Passion for agriculture and fresh produce.
-
Self-motivated, punctual, and possesses strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
-
Results-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
-
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract.
-
Proven experience operating, maintaining, and repairing farm equipment.
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
-
Basic knowledge of orchard and vineyard operations and horticulture principles.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
The candidate must have the ability and willingness to:

Perform rigorous physical tasks including bending, lifting, carrying, walking, picking, and standing for long periods.
-
Lift up to 50 lbs.
-
Work outdoors in all variable weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.
-
Work with chemicals and pesticides following all safety protocols.
-
Work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, as required by weather and seasonal demands.
Considered a Strong Asset:
-
Experience managing employees under a Temporary Foreign Worker program.

Valid Basic First Aid Certificate.
-
Valid Pesticide Applicator Certificate (Agriculture).
-
A certificate or diploma in mechanics.
-
A certificate, diploma, or degree in Horticulture or Agriculture
